WOW!! TOP Award for Longbarn
You may remember that LRA entered us in The Britain In Bloom (North West) competition and we have been awaiting the result from the judges. A judge had visited the estate and said he was impressed and that we should merit a certificate. But, we had to wait for the presentation ceremony before finding out the grade of the certificate.
Well, the certificate given to LRA was at Level 5 (Outstanding).
It is the highest we could have been awarded, and this in our first entry into the competition!
Longbarn was up against residents groups from Wigan, St Helens and Chorley (to name but a few) who had been competing for many years but did not reach our standard.
This award is a reflection and recognition of all the efforts put in, by volunteers from the estate, to spruce up Longbarn’s green spaces and shared areas.
Well done to you all and here’s to next year’s competition!
