About

Longbarn Residents’ Association is a non-political association with a membership of over 2500 residents. It is a lively and busy organisation involved in many issues that affect the lives of local people.  The aims of the association are to consider all matters affecting the Longbarn Community. This frequently involves lobbying local councillors, meeting with Council officers and discussion with outside agencies, such as the Police (who regularly attend our meetings), Muir Housing (who also attend our meetings), the Land Trust, The Home Office, Greencore Food and the Environment Agency. Other topics cover Litter (with regular litter picks), Dog Fouling, Traffic and Parking.

The Association was formed in 2012 and everyone who lives within the area of Longbarn, Warrington, Cheshire is a member and we have already an extensive portfolio of items that we have campaigned on. Membership is Free.

We hold six-weekly Members’ Meetings in Padgate Village Club throughout the year with the Annual General Meeting being held in September.  The Committee meet six-weekly before each of the full members’ meeting.

THE COMMITTEE

The Committee meet approximately every 6 weeks, and have a rolling agenda of items of relevance to the local community.
