Padgate Village Club was “rockin” again on Thursday night (17 Aug ’17) at the meeting of the “D’Ukes of Longbarn” – LRA’s own ukulele club.

However, this session was PARTICULARLY SPECIAL.  The performance was professionally recorded and will be put onto a CD and made available.

Everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the unusual experience of playing on a recording.

The recording guys (Gary and Paddy) were impressed and were able to give everyone a chance to listen to the recording at the end.  I must say, it sounded really good.  Who would have thought that the group would have come so far, only forming at the end of Jan ‘17, with most players never before having played any instrument.

Sam, behind the bar, said she and the PVC members in the bar thought the group sounded great and were giving it the “golden buzzer”.

If you feel you would have enjoyed being a “D’Uke”, but missed your chance in January, don’t worry, new members (novices and established players) are still welcome.  There is even a “Choir” for those who don’t play but come along for the sing-along.
