The Hippo Play Area Improvements
The Longbarn Residents Association are working with the Land Trust to plan a renovation and upgrade of the designated play area in Anderson/Blackburne Close, known as the “Hippos”.
We are consulting with local residents (of all ages!) to canvass ideas before we start the planning process and the bids for funding to carry out the work.
It is proposed to:
- Remove the concrete Hippos and create an enclosed play area, with suitable equipment for younger children.
- Resurface the play areas with improved rubberised safety flooring.
- If funding allows, upgrade the current slide and climbing frame with a more modern version.
