An update on the Blackburne Close path, well there is no update but more vandalism. Geoff Orange(Longbarn Residents Association Chairman), took a walk down the path and took a few photos of what he saw. See photos below. However, The question how long do we have to wait before we get any action on this.
Its typical council bureaucracy, thinking a path is what Longbarn needed to access Birchwood. In this instance, to begin with, in the council’s wisdom, do they ask who matter, who actually wanted the path, no, they decide the residents of Fearnhead is more important to ask, rather than Longbarn residents.
We are supposed to be living in a democratic state,
not a dictator state. When are Councillors going to realise how important, the public vote is and to keep the public on there side. The Councillors don’t understand what vote retention is and they wonder why the citizens of Warrington, not just Longbarn are so disgruntled in there actions.
The path in Blackburne Close – Longbarn is a small action which has created a big problem as well as wasting money on it, it’s a disgrace.
And not only that, the LRA have been lobbying for Access Only on Harper’s Road, however, again, the council are not willing to give us Access Only unless there is a death on the road. Let’s take a look at that statement. A death on Harper’s Road. The point of Access Only is A. Stop the rat run and B. reduce the speed and a death.
If it was a relative of there’s, they would take action and do something about it. But it’s councillors who ahven’t a clue where Longbarn even is.
