The inevitable has now happened!

The inevitable has, of course, happened. A person who has already vandalised the concrete panels has done what we have been saying was likely to happen. WBC have not removed the broken panels as they said they would do quite a while ago. A piece of the concrete, left on the footpath due to the total inactivity of WBC, has been thrown over a residents hedge and hit their car (they have a photograph as proof). What is to happen next? Why is that WBC and its Members and Officers will not listen to the residents who are asking for something to be done about this path? I understand that there is an election on Thursday when candidates will be seeking support from residents. The inactivity over this issue makes residents wonder why they should bother to make an effort to vote. Why has a petition submitted to WBC via the Mayor last year been ttoally ignored. The petition has not even been acknowledged, and this from a Council that believes that it cares and is reponsive to the requests of its residents. Residents are fearful that the next piece of concrete will damage a car windscreen or perhaps the front window of a house or bungalow.

Will someone please take action and relieve the residents of this nightmare!

Kindest regards,

Geoff Orange
Chairman
Longbarn Residents’ Association.
