LRA are working with the Land Trust to redevelop the Hippos Play Area which is situated between Blackburne Close & Anderson Close at the east end of our estate. We are hoping to upgrade to much more modern equipment and make it accessible to all. The total cost of this is likely to be in the region of £70k. We have submitted an application for funding to WREN the result of which should be known early in the new year. Greencore Prepared Foods Warrington have given us a grant of £2k and subject to us being successful with our bid to WREN the Borough Council have made a grant of £5k. To make up the matched funding that is required we are holding a Raffle. Tickets are on sale at £1 (Book for £5). Prizes include Signed Warrington Wolves Shirt (Adult size), 2 x Tickets to Gulliver’s World, 3 x Vouchers to Jump Warehouse, 3 x One month’s music lessons with Preston Music School, a bottle of Napoleon Brandy, a Litre Bottle of Gin, a Large Basket of Vegetables, 2 x World Cup 2015 Souvenir Rugby Balls. Other prizes are being donated and will be added to this webpage as they are confirmed.
