Just to raise awareness to Longbarn Residents, that on the 7th November 2015, members of Longbarn Residents Association will be calling with raffle tickets. We have 2000 to sell. Members will have LRA badges.
Tickets are on sale at £1 (Book for £5). Prizes include Signed Warrington Wolves Shirt (Adult size), 2 x Tickets to Gulliver’s World, 3 x Vouchers to Jump Warehouse, 3 x One month’s music lessons with Preston Music School, a bottle of Napoleon Brandy, a Litre Bottle of Gin, a Large Basket of Vegetables. Other prizes are being donated.
All monies will be going to the Hippos Play area Redevelopment Blackburne Close. The two Hippos remaining are the last 2 on Longbarn. Other areas on Longbarn historically had either Polar Bears or Hippos in there small park areas, which have now disappeared and the park areas have been left to over grow with grass.
Longbarn Residents Association want to preserve the remaining Hippos in Blackbure Close, but also improve the playing area to make it more inclusive for children and adults with a physical disabilties who are unable to access the playing area in its current state. Its an area not just for Blackburne Close & Anderson, but for all Longbarn residents who can visit, with a seating area for Parents, Grandparents and carers.
